A large constellation easily idenfiable by the three stars building a line, representing the belt. The constellation extends from It extends from RA = 4h 40m to RA = 6h 20m and DECL = +23 degrees to DECL = +8 degrees.
It is visible to both nothern and southern hemispheres. A great complex molecular cloud is situated here where a lot of stars are being formed. It is therefore rich with hot stars, clusters and nebulae.
