Chemical Compounds
Most materials are made up of atoms of two or more different
elements joined together in a chemical reaction. These materials are called compounds.
When elements join together to make compounds, their different atoms ‘glue’ to each other. We say that atoms join
together by making chemical bonds (indicated by arrow).
