Elements and Periodic Table
There are 92 naturally-occuring elements. All materials are made from one or more of these elements joined together by some
chemical bonds.
Trees, plants, planets, animals, humans, etc...In fact the basic unit of every tangible material is made of more than one elements in various proportions.
Elements are listed in the Periodic Table in order of increasing atomic number.
'Hmm...There must be some ways to systematically classify these elements....'

Dmitri Mendeleev
The layout of the Periodic Table of the Elements that we see today (shown above) is very from different from what it first appeared about 150 years ago.
It is very much based on the work by a Russian scientist called Dmitri Mendeleev in the 19th century.
