The applet we provide is packed with a lot of features, more so than most other Life programs. As the applet is
run, you are presented with an empty World. The size of the World is 40 by 40 grids. Simply drag the mouse pointer into the World and click to place cells anywhere in the World.
You can click on a cell to remove it from the World, should you make a mistake. Create as many cells as you like. Of course, you can only have up to a maximum of 40 x 40 = 1600 cells in the World.
The function of each button is shown as follows: Start - start the Generation count and see your colony evolves. Step - see how a colony changes from one Generation to another,
according to your own pace. Restart - restore your original cell colony at Generation 0. Clear - erase everything and start all over again. Plot - draw a population graph and see how it
changes throughout the Generations. Example - suggested predefined cell colony for growth. Age - color-coded age indicator. The color shows the age of a continuous-surviving cell at a particular grid.
The meaning of the color is as follows:
Yellow: up to 2 Generations Cyan: up to 5 Generations Green: up to 8 Generations
Red: up to 11 Generations Blue: 12 Generations and beyond
