In the statistical world, one of these type of distribution is called a Normal distribution which has average = 0 and 1 deviation. In fact most real world distributions follow closely a Gaussian distribution trend. For example, the population height of a nation - Not everybody has a same height and only a small number of people are either very tall or very short.

New Life rule can only be selected at Generation = 0. The lifetime distribution of both cells can be adjusted at the appropriate columns on the right. Note that only integer numbers are acceptable. In addition, the relative strength of both cells can be changed. The larger the value for a cell the stronger it will prevail over the other cell type when contesting over a grid. The total value of the relative strengths must always equal to 10. Hence, to generate a 50:50 strength both values have to set to 5.

It would be interesting to know if there is a balanced situation where both colonies could coexist.

Wish you a happy growing and living!
